A Proclamation MinistryMMXXVII

Jesus is enough.

Tethered exists to proclaim the person, work, and heart of Christ — anchoring sinners to him and helping them see that he is enough.

01 · The Problem

The Problem

Christ is often obscured.

Not necessarily denied. Not necessarily rejected.

Often, he is affirmed, named, preached, and praised. But in many churches and Christian spaces, the finished work of Christ is functionally moved to the background, while the sinner’s performance, sincerity, discipline, improvement, and inward experience are moved to the foreground.

The result is confusion. The law and the gospel are collapsed. What God commands and what God gives are blurred together. Sinners are told that Jesus saves, but then are subtly taught to look within themselves for the confidence, assurance, and peace that can only be found outside of themselves in Christ.

This is not a fringe problem. It is the air many people have breathed for generations. Revivalism, pietism, legalism, and the subjectification of religion have trained many people to look in when the gospel calls them to look out — away from self and unto Christ.

The answer is not vague encouragement. It is not more spiritual intensity. It is not new disciplines. The answer is the clear proclamation of the person, work, and heart of Christ.

The gospel is not merely the way into the Christian life. It is the foundation, comfort, and hope of the whole thing.

The gospel does not turn sinners inward to measure themselves. It turns sinners outward to rest in Christ.

02 · The Ministry

What Tethered Is

A proclamation ministry, alongside the local church.

That is the simplest way to say it.

We exist to proclaim the person, work, and heart of Christ clearly and without apology — to keep saying to sinners, saints, doubters, sufferers, the self-righteous, and the despairing: Jesus is enough.

We are not trying to replace the ministry of the local church, but rather to come alongside it. We are not a counseling service. We are a ministry of proclamation aimed at setting Christ before people again and again.

Through podcasts, written resources, and gatherings, we want to help people see Christ in all of Scripture, rest in his finished work, understand the freeness of the gospel, and take comfort in his compassionate heart toward sinners and sufferers. We want to call people away from themselves and unto Christ, where confidence, assurance, peace, and life are actually found.

Mission

To proclaim the person, work, and heart of Christ, anchoring sinners to him and helping them see that he is enough.

Vision

To see sinners tethered to Christ and living in the freeness of the gospel through podcasts, written resources, and gatherings.

The aim is not inspiration. The aim is proclamation.
There is a difference, and it matters.

03 · Who We Reach

Who We Reach

Tethered is for sinners.

The audience for this ministry is broader than it might first appear.

That includes those who do not yet believe, those who think they are doing well, those who know they are not, and those who have been Christians for years but have not consistently heard Christ proclaimed freely and clearly.

Many have been shaped by Christian environments where the law and the gospel are confused. The gospel is treated as the entry point, while the Christian life is framed as a project of performance, intensity, and improvement.

All of them need the same thing: a clear distinction between what the law demands and what the gospel declares, and the freedom that comes from understanding that Jesus did not merely start their salvation — he secured it.

04 · The Track Record

This Has Been Done Before

A proven team. A clearer message.

Any new ministry should have to answer one reasonable question: can the people behind it actually execute? This one has an answer. Before Tethered, this team helped build and lead a gospel-centered media ministry that reached listeners around the world, then stepped away in 2025 to build something more focused.

The model is not theoretical. It has been tested. The infrastructure is understood, and the audience for this message exists and is hungry for it.

06 · Partnership

The Founding Campaign

You know what this clarity did for you.

Partnership is simply putting it within reach of someone else.

What we are looking for is a small group of founding partners who want to be in the room as this is built. If that is you, partnership is an extension of what the gospel has already done in your own life.

Sinners need to hear that Jesus is enough, and they need to hear it repeatedly, until it actually lands. Founding partnership is what puts that message in front of them.
